Fr. Scott McCaig
General Superior of the Companions of the Cross

Fr. Scott McCaig was elected General Superior of the Companions of the Cross in 2006, was re-elected in 2012, and is presently still serving in this roll.   Born in Kamloops, British Columbia, Fr. Scott entered into full communion with the Catholic Church in 1987. He was active in youth ministry and served with NET Youth Ministries.  In 1989  Fr. Scott chose to join the Companions of the Cross, because of the key elements he saw in the vision of the society: unquestioned fidelity to the Church, life-giving brotherhood, openness to the ways of the Holy Spirit, love for the Blessed Mother, and its evangelical mission.  He earned a BA in History from Carelton University and a Masters degree in Divinity from St. Augustine’s Seminary and the University of Toronto and was ordained a priest in 1995.  He loves touring on his motorcycle and is an ardent fan of the Vancouver Canucks, B.C. Lions, and Minnesota Vikings!  Fr. Scott participates in missionary outreach internationally and is a sought after speaker and teacher.
